Today we awoke (7.30am) to immediately sort out the Tag Rugby kit to prepare for the day in front of us. Next, we had a filling breakfast consisting of toast, sausages and scrambled egg at 8.36am. After that, we relaxed at the pool until around 12pm due to a delayed meeting time with the Young Leaders. In total, my group got to go to 1 school with children who had never played rugby before. However, with the help of Fred (a Young Leader - who thinks I'm famous as I appeared on Zambia TV for a few seconds), we coached the well behaved children. They learnt very quickly and became good players!
After, we all arrived back at the hotel and enjoyed a pancake. Next, we went to a local supermarket where Nathan Mengelberg purchased a shirt that caused him to become a magnet to the ladies. We all then sorted out the donations for the next (and last) tournament and we gave a pair of trainers to James Sr and James Jr between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. After that we all sat down at the bar and watched a TV interview of Mr Horrod and James Sr.
Finally, we ate at a buffet which contained chicken, crocodile, nshima and rice. Yummy!
Quick question for the family - how is Blaba doing and can you dust my room ๐

Today was another coaching day, we woke up early and sorted out kit for the day. Breakfast was great as usual and we left our hostel at about 12pm and went to our first school. On the way there our minibus got stuck in sand and Miss Perks and Miss Young as well as some other students had to push it out!
When we finally got to the school, we set up pitches and decided to do some drills with the children. They started with a quite low skill set, but quickly picked up the rules and improved a lot which was very rewarding to see. The children are so lovely, kind and fantastic to work with.
When we got back, we sorted out donations for the tournament and we also went to the shops to buy lots of nice Zambian snacks. For dinner, Mr Horrod and the other teachers took us out for a Zambian buffet. We tried crocodile (it tastes like chicken) and lots of other traditional Zambian food. It was very nice and we had a lovely day.
P.S.
Miss you Mum, Dad, Oscar and Max. Can't wait to see you guys!
