Hello All,

I would like to start by saying the food here is top notch quality.  The young leaders are all lovely and made todays tournament extremely enjoyable.  We woke up at the crack of dawn, 5am, to ensure we were at the venue at time for the children to have a great day.

The buzz from the school children's chanting was class and very impressive.  The tournament started at around 10am and ended after 5 hours at 3pm.  I got slightly sunburnt, but has disappeared at the time of writing this.
Everyone at the competition was mesmerised by our ages and many accused us of lying, I blame the beard.  We returned back to the camp at around 4pm, shattered and exhausted but very humbled.

Overall, I had a great day and we have had a wonderful time on this trip, I look forward to making more memories here.

To mum and dad - I am excited to see you soon and can't wait for the kebab and haircut when I get back. Love you.

Today we held our first tournament.  It was in North Lusaka and consisted of about 360 children.  The children were in their element and enjoyed it a lot.  We had a total of 36 teams and presented the winners with rugby kit/tops from Cobham and Teddington Rugby Clubs.

The children's reactions opened our eyes and really showed us that we need to appreciate everything we have, more than we already do.  For example; we presented each school with boxes of shortbread and they all went wild!  Just from our presence we could tell they were so appreciative.

I was team manager and that job alone was a massive shock as the children really helped me see all the things I took for granted especially when we gave them the t-shirts, their faces lit up.  As we left, the children were also thankful and excited to see us, that it made it hard to leave.

For dinner there was sweet & sour chicken (which was a 10/10 - from Evie H) and apple crumble with chocolate ice-cream for desert.

P.S. Mum please tidy my room.  Also I love you and dad.
