Today we went to Victoria Falls! I am so happy that we went there - its one of the 7 natural wonders of the world! When we got there, we saw chunky baboons, they were so cute. Then the group trekked down to the bottom of the pools, and it was so slippery I nearly fell over so many times. When we got down to the bottom, Mr Horrod took a phot of all of us sitting on the rock, and I am 90% sure I had my eyes closed. It was so tiring to go back up, we were all out of breath. The bridge we went across left us so drenched in water and Miss Perks jumping in puddles didn't help us get any drier, although it was funny.
When we got to one of the balcony's, I took a photo of James senior but the lighting was so bad. Once we had reached the end of the trek, we could see into Zimbabwe. After we left the park, we headed to a market down the road from our Hostel where I got; 2 rings, 4 bracelets, a necklace, 2 fridge magnets and a little zebra. I bartered for all of them and spent under k250 (£12 ish). We had a late lunch and I got a pizza and a coke. It was at Zest cafe and restaurant. While we waited to eat, we talked about what we bought.
Josie bartered really well for a beautiful giraffe - It is very cute so Josie's parents don't be too mad at its size! The whole group tried to discretely pass around a card for Mr Horrod. There were some very close calls when he nearly saw, but I think he didn't. Some of the boys had crocodile meat on skewers which tastes like fishy chicken, it is so good.
After dinner, we headed back to Fawlty towers and had an awards ceremony. Everyone whooped and cheered for the awards. I got an award for being the kindest which is really sweet, I got a wooden Rhino and I have named it James. Whilst I am going to miss Zambia, I am really thankful to be going home soon.
Love you Jason, see you soon Mum!

Today was our final full day in Zambia and we had it to ourselves. We started our day with our usual breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast and sausages, before starting our hike around Victoria Falls. The walk around the falls consisted of 3 different routes. The first of routes was called the Boiling Pot, it took us down quite a long path of steps and rocks towards the lower section of the waterfall where we could spot people bungee jumping off a bridge. We then moved onto a second trail, however before we could start we had to endure a tiring walk back up the path we came down. Once back at the top we walked down stream towards the top of the waterfall and watched the shear drop from the top of the Falls. We finished the trip saving the best till last - we walked across the Knife Edge Bridge which took us straight over the drop below - the views were incredible along with the huge amount of mist from the falling water. We all took tons of photos before leaving for the market.
The market was bustling with people, however, the vendors had some funny bargaining methods and some of my bartering was questionable. Half an hour later I managed to get enough gifts and presents for people as well as myself.
Finally we finished with a late lunch/early dinner at Cafe Zest where a mixture of kebabs, sandwiches and burgers were ordered.
Once back at Fawlty Towers we settled down for a mini awards and prize ceremony where Mr Horrod tried on his new shirt! I won the award as the most forgetful which I expected considering my recent lateness.
I am excited to see my friends and family again as well as sleep in my own bed, however it will be sad to leave Zambia with everything that has happened. See you soon Mum and Dad, hopefully the dog still remembers me!

Hello everyone reading this, today has been incredible. First thing we went to Victoria Falls. Little did we know, baboons would be everywhere across the site, and it's safe to say Evie H's fear of them has increased after seeing them 1m away from us!
The Falls itself were beautiful. We walked down some extremely steep and uneven steps which made me question my balance many times to get to the Boiling Point! This was where all the water flows through. Walking back up was alright for some, yet most of us were wearing fleeces which isn't the best idea when you are doing an intense leg work out.
From there, we walked down past some more baboons and through trees and rocks. I won't lie I felt like I was in a Jurassic Park movie where some massive pterodactyl was about to swoop over the top of my head.
When we arrived at the Waters Edge, it felt like I was in heaven. There were massive rainbows lining up throughout the sky (which I think you would have loved Mum - I got photos though don't worry x).
We carried on across bridges, getting absolutely soaked, it felt like I had just got off a log flume. My fringe was soaked, which is definitely a sight for sore eyes, so as soon as I got back....the roller was in!
When we got back to Fawlty Towers we collected our money and headed off to the market. Haggling was a needed skill, yet I think all of us got the hang of it.
We then went for the last lunch, where me and the girls played cards for an hour.
Once we had all eaten, we headed back to our accommodation where Mr Horrod handed out our awards. I got Best Female Referee!! A long with Toby as Best Male Referee.
In total, this trip has been the most eye opening, fun, rewarding trip I have ever been on. I am extremely grateful to have been welcomed into Zambia with such kindness. I am very excited to come home to share the memories with my family and friends.
Thank you for reading π
